In my previous post I shared how I started my career as a graphic designer and gradually shifted to social media marketing. In all these years, the most promising mode of advertisement on social media has been of Facebook marketing. I was attending a start up conference in India last year where a discussion came in that how Facebook has evolved in last five years from just being a social networking website to a business platform. In the same event an industry expert shared his observation that in coming 5 years Facebook will be more than just a social networking and business promotion portal.
Facebook is the optimum source of advertising over the digital marketing platform which can be accessed and utilized by any business owner no matter how small or large the organization is. Facebook pages are excellent places to gather your customers, prospects and leads. The phrase, actions speak louder than words perfectly fits in here. With the speed of social media and new weight being added to information shared through social channels, having a Facebook page that is filled with rich content that is relevant to your business can also help you boost you search engine rankings.
However, I wouldn’t recommend operating a Facebook page simply because your competitors are doing it but the crux is to understand the importance of having it. Ultimately, properly branded Facebook page of your business can be a powerful way to expand your reach and increase awareness of your business online. With more than 750 million active Facebook users, an increasing number of consumers are using it to find prospects. Facebook makes it easier for potential customers recognize you. Once, you are recognized on Facebook, it is more likely that your brand name and product will be promoted.
